How to Use Ads
Find out more about how to set up and manage your ads to grow your business.
Improve your product exposure and sales using Discovery Ads. They appear in locations where Shopee recommends products:
Discovery Ads will appear in more display locations in the future, so please stay tuned!
Display your products at highly visible positions within Daily Discover on the homepage, as well as Similar Products and You May Also Like on product detail page.
Using both Discovery Ads and Keyword Ads, you can display your products in 3 of Shopee's most prominent locations, i.e. homepage, search results pages and product detail pages.
Grow sales
Reach relevant shoppers who are looking for products that are similar or complementary to yours.
Control how much you spend by setting your preferred budget and cost-per-click bid price.
1. Choose the products you want to advertise
Before you start, make sure that your product title, pictures and descriptions are updated.
Choose products with the 'thumbs up' icon in the product selector. These items are recommended for ads as they have high sales and conversion rates.
2. Set your budget and duration for the ad
Your ad will run until one of the following occurs

You will only be charged when shoppers click on your ads. The cost will be deducted from your Ads Credit.
To protect sellers, the Shopee system auto-detects invalid clicks, such as repeated clicks from the same shopper or automated clicks. You will not be charged for such clicks.
As multiple sellers advertise with Discovery Ads, your ad will compete with other ads for exposure.
Your ad exposure is determined by 2 factors:
1. Cost-per-click bid price refers to the highest price you are willing to pay when a shopper clicks on your ad.
2. Product relevance measures how relevant your product is to the shopper. The higher your product relevance, the higher your ad exposure.
Discovery Ads are displayed:
1. In the first 100 Similar Product positions, you can see up to 21 ads. The exact ad position might vary based on ongoing performance optimisation.
2. In the first 35 You May Also Like positions, you can see up to 12 ads. The exact ad position might vary based on ongoing performance optimisation.
3. In the first 70 Daily Discover positions, you can see up to 32 ads. The exact ad position might vary based on ongoing performance optimisation.
